Giggles & Grins Photography

Giggles and Grins was founded in Malibu, California, the creation of longtime best friends, Leigh Bortz and Vicki Levin. Leigh, a mother of three children and four dogs, and Vicki, mother of two children and three dogs, spent years developing and honing their skills photographing their kids and their pets, always to rave reviews from excited (and no doubt biased) family members. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a passion, and the portfolio of photographs and subjects grew larger and more diverse. As word of their skills spread like wildfire throughout the metropolis of Malibu (population of 13,000 at last count), Leigh and Vicki found themselves being asked to take pictures of other people's kids, pets, houses, parties, functions and families - quite a contrast to having to beg their own children to stand still for another shoot! And, before you knew it, and quite unintentionally, Giggles and Grins was born.

As Leigh, a native of Johannesburg, South Africa, says, "Photography is so much more than just a job to us. A photo shoot should be more than positioning everyone for that perfect traditional portrait. It is about spontaneity and surprise and capturing a moment. Life is not flawless nor should your photos be, we strive for real life imagery. Our style is very laidback, fun and friendly which allows the kids to be themselves. The rest is unpredictable... come and have fun!"

Vicki, a lifelong Malibu resident, concurs. "It is the moment that makes a great photograph. Our passion is capturing them. Sometimes these moments are sweet and sometimes they are humorous, it really depends on the day and personality of your child. Each session is unique and special and can never be duplicated again which makes it all the more special".

Leigh and Vicki's inspiration comes from so many sources, but especially from kids, animals, the ocean, and sunsets. These inspirations, coupled with their huge zest for life, translates into Leigh and Vicki capturing sensational images through their lenses.
